Managing Director, Boost Capital
As Managing Director of Boost Capital, Alex Littner has responsibility for providing strategic direction and leading the development of Boost Capital.
Alex is a seasoned leader with more than 15 years of experience in business development, marketing and product management. Prior to joining Boost Capital, Alex held leadership responsibility for the development and growth of one of the key product lines in American Express. Alex has demonstrated a strong ability to build credible, trusted and long-lasting relationships with prospective and existing partners, and a proven ability to implement change and grow businesses.
Alex has an extensive education in business at the highest levels (MBA, BSc Business).
Willem Van Lynden
Director of Sales & Marketing
Willem is responsible for managing both customer acquisition and retention efforts and driving the marketing strategy for Boost Capital. With a tremendous funding gap for SME’s across the UK, Willem is committed to sharing the Boost Capital story with SME’s nationwide and providing financial solutions to help them grow.
With more than a decade’s experience working with organisations of varying sizes and industries including SMEs and early stage ventures in the hospitality and technology sectors as well as with significant companies such as Bupa, bmi airline and Netherlands Board of Tourism, Willem understands the importance of capital accessibility and is dedicated to helping SMEs secure the funding they need to grow.
Willem has a degree in Social Policy from the University of Bristol.

Chairman of the Board
As Chairman of the Board, Mr. Glazer ensures full alignment of the company’s strategic and financial resources. Mr. Glazer focuses specifically on the management of banking and capital resources, finance strategy, strategic investment and acquisition, and international growth.
Mr. Glazer has led the growth of BFS Capital, Boost Capital’s U.S parent company, since 2002. Having earlier transformed 4SmallBusiness.com, a small business portal of which he was CEO, into a specialty finance company, he brought on institutional equity partners in 2008 to strengthen the balance sheet and grow the company. Today, BFS Capital is a leading provider of merchant cash advances and specialty business loan products in the U.S., and has expanded into the UK and Canada.
Bringing more than 26 years of leadership experience in both distribution and financial services to his executive role at BFS Capital, Mr. Glazer is a recognized thought leader in the specialty finance arena, and frequently sought out as a guest speaker on executive panels at the Wharton School of Business and various other SME-related roundtables.
He is a magna cum laude graduate in accounting from Binghamton University.
Former CFO, Liberty Tax Service
Mark Baumgartner has served as a member of our board of directors since 2008. He retired in August 2014 as Chief Investment Officer of Liberty Tax Service, a position he held from February 2014, and Chief Executive Officer of JTH Financial, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Liberty Tax Service, a position he held from September 2010.
He previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Liberty Tax Service from 2004 to February 2014. Mr. Baumgartner received a B.A. in accounting from Shepherd University and is a registered C.P.A. Mr. Baumgartner’s extensive experience in financial and tax matters qualify him to serve as a member of our board.
Chairman & CEO, The Falcone Group
Mr. Falcone is the co-founder and managing principal of Encore Capital Management, a diversified, multiple-fund real estate investment and development firm with more than $1 billion under its management.
Prior to founding Encore, he was the CEO and chairman of the board of the Falcone Group, a vertically integrated real estate and land development organization. Mr. Falcone serves on the board of trustees for Nova Southeastern University, where, in 2006, he was inducted into the school’s Entrepreneur Hall of Fame.
He is also actively involved in Crohn’s and Colitis charities, the Junior Achievement Hall of Fame, and SOS Children’s Village.
Managing Partner, Reitler, Kailas & Rosenblatt, LLC
Edward Reitler has served as a member of our board of directors since 2008. He has been a partner with the law firm Reitler, Kailas & Rosenblatt, LLC since 1998. Prior to that, he was associated with the law firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. Mr. Reitler clerked for the Hon. J. Edward Lumbard (United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit), following law school. Mr. Reitler received a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. from the University of South Carolina. Mr. Reitler’s substantial experience advising companies in a variety of corporate matters qualify him to serve as a member of our board.
Managing Partner, Edison Partners
Chris Sugden has served as a member of our board of directors since 2008. He has been managing partner at Edison Partners, a venture capital firm, since 2009, having joined Edison Partners in 2002. Edison Partners invests in technology and technology-enabled businesses located in the Eastern U.S. and manages more than $1 billion. Mr. Sugden is Chairman of Edison Partners’ Investment Committee.
Mr. Sugden currently serves as a member of the board of directors of Billtrust, Inc., Gain Capital Holdings, Inc., Compliance Science, Inc., Folio Dynamix, Inc., PHX, Inc., Operative Media, Inc., Options City, Inc. and Trader Tools, Inc. Mr. Sugden is also a member of the board of directors of Spartan Innovations, Inc., the technology commercialization subsidiary of Michigan State University.
He received a B.A. in accounting from Michigan State University, with honors. Mr. Sugden’s extensive experience in technology, financial services and financial management qualify him to serve as a member of our board.
